A few of our Ideation Challenges:

HOME PAGE

PCF is a family owned large scale distributor so we wanted to create efficiency for them while also still keeping it feeling like the very personal hands-on company that they are

• We added a lot of personal touches like quotes, testimonials and even family recipes that use their produce

• We created 2 version of the home page. One for those customers that are logged in and ready to place an order and another for for potential customers that is more marketing forward to convince them to sign up.

• The previous site was very stale and information heavy so we wanted to create a site that people enjoyed looking at and navigating through every time they have to place an order.

CATEGORY PAGE

Because every client is placing orders with 20+ items, we wanted a way to create efficeny when adding to cart.

• We created two version of the PLP

• For the visually driven shoppers, we created a grid version. This version allows customers to shop based on images and is a more 'slow discovery' approach to shopping.

• For the more analytical users who might also know what they want, we created a list view. this view allows for more products per page and take the hierarchy off the photo

• For the 'Add to Cart' itself we designed it as a paddle so customers can easily add items to cart or input the specific amount they need

PRODUCT PAGE

PCF puts a lot of work in sourcing their products so we wanted to pay respect to that on their PDP design.

• We created a block that highlights the farm the fruit comes from and even allows you to show other prodcuts sourced from that farm

• We found that the farms love this as it is free marketing for them. it has even helped PC fruit gain additional partnerships farms.

• We made sure to cross sell similar produce or produce that is often sold with the selected product

• To created collections such as Pastry, Italian, Mexican etc... that group together items and allow users to easily shop within a food genre

• To include a personal touch we included a family recipe section where it provides a recipe from their family that uses this product and even links to other items in the recipe that PCFruit
