Levain Bakery came to us wanting to create a Shopify site that was highly customizable and easy to manage and update on their end.

A few of our ideation challenges:
HOME PAGE
They wanted it to feel like a small-town bakery but also look like a credible and established brand they have become in the US.
• They wanted online users to have the feeling of coming into the bakery so we added photography of the owners behind the counter and actually cooking in the kitchen.
• They wanted to focus on the gifting experience so we added in information surrounding that as well as specific reviews on the gifting of their products.
• We made sure to include a Instagram feed that really embodied that neighborhood establishment feel.
• We created the ability for them to find a local bakery as well as get cookies delivered to them!
PRODUCT PAGE
For the PDP we wanted to keep it simple and ensure that users were not walking away with questions
• We wanted to walk the user through the product options and provide them detail and benefits of each option
• Since this is a perishable good, one of their customers' key concerns is around how it will arrive. We made sure to put a lot of focus into shipping times and delivery information.
• We wanted to demonstrate how easy the process is by breaking it down into 3 simple steps to further entice the user to add to cart.
CATEGORY PAGE
Selling perishables online is one tough cookie, so we really wanted to entice the users with Levains' delicious reputation
• We changed their product photos from packaged photos to broke cookies to show that melty goodness and make the user want a bite.
• Since this was a high entrance point we made sure to include a little narrative about the brand and their key selling points
• We designed a block focusing on the fresh, hand baked process
• We created functionality so the user can add to cart from this level, speeding up the time in which they can savor that delicious first bite!
